Mentorship Committee of College, Department, and Institute
Each college, department, and institute has established a Mentorship Committee, composed of advisors and student representatives. These committees coordinate and promote the implementation of the mentorship system and related student engagement activities.
Student-Guidance Committee
To safeguard and enhance students’ psychological well-being, the university has established a Student-Guidance Committee consisting of the vice president, senior administrators, the dean of Student Affairs, outstanding faculty mentors, and student representatives.
Advisor Guidance Resource System
The Mentor Advisory Resource System allows mentors to access students’ academic and advisory information, helping them understand each student’s situation more effectively. Mentors can use this system to get to know new students, advise on course selection, track mid-term academic alerts, and identify learning difficulties to provide timely support and guidance.
Undergraduate Mentorship in Course Selection
Each undergraduate student receives personalized guidance on course planning and career. Mentors assist students in setting clear academic goals and career planning.
Feedback for Advisor & Department
At the end of each semester, students are invited to complete an online survey evaluating their mentoring experience. The summarized results are provided to advisors and departments as references for improvement and reflection.
Excellent Advisor and Department Awards
To recognize excellence in the mentorship program, the university annually confers awards, including Excellent Advisor, Excellent Department (Institute), and Distinguished Advisor, to honor individuals and departments for their contributions to student development.
Special Mentorship Awards
To encourage faculty participation in mentoring and holistic education, the university presents five categories of Special Mentorship Awards, Service-Learning Mentors, Career Mentors, Dormitory Mentors, Student Association Mentors, and Sports Mentors. Nominees are jointly recommended by colleges, the Office of Student Affairs, and the Physical Education Office.
